Lifetime Warranty & Right to Repair Policy

We make our lights to be enjoyed for a lifetime- in style and quality. Our warranty and repair-first policy is a commitment to quality and a reflection of our values.

This document outlines the warranty policy provided with the purchase of Spark & Bell lighting. This warranty only applies to the persons purchasing Spark & Bell products from Spark & Bell Ltd. Second hand, reselling or other third party purchases do not carry over this included Warranty.

Spark & Bell lighting is warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the functional lifetime of the product, under normal use and in accordance with our installation guidance.

What's Covered:

• Manufacturing defects or failures in materials and workmanship
• Faults occurring despite proper installation and care
• Products installed and maintained according to Spark & Bell instructions

What's Not Covered:

• General wear and tear, surface patina, or age-related changes (e.g., natural brass patina, minor scratches)
• Accidental damage, misuse, improper installation, or unauthorised modification
• Products purchased second-hand, through unauthorised resellers, or third parties
• Consumable elements such as bulbs, LED drivers, and switches (these have their own expected lifespan)
• Items supplied by other brands or third-party components
• Damage caused by external factors (e.g., power surges, flooding, natural disasters)

For projects involving 50 or more units, large-scale commercial installations, high-volume trade projects, or where required by contract, alternative warranty terms may apply.

Please contact us at least 30 days in advance to confirm coverage for your project.

For most commercial and trade customers, our standard Lifetime Warranty applies to manufacturing defects only; as always, general wear and tear and site-related damage are excluded. Our repair service remains available to all clients for any issues outside warranty scope.

If your Spark & Bell light experiences a fault outside of warranty coverage (e.g., from accidental damage, wear and tear, or after many years of use), we'll always offer a repair service for a reasonable fee based on the actual cost of parts and labour, helping extend the life of your product and reduce waste.

This commitment reflects our circular design philosophy and dedication to product longevity.

To make a warranty claim, email our team with:
• Your order number and purchase date
• Name and contact details (matching the order)
• A description of the fault, plus photos if possible

Subject line: Warranty Claim Request - [order number] [date]

What Happens Next:

  1. We'll assess the issue remotely (photos/description)
  2. If we need to physically inspect the product, we'll provide return instructions
  3. If the fault is confirmed to be a manufacturing defect covered by warranty, we will: Repair or replace your product at no charge and cover return postage within the UK after repair/replacement.
  4. If the issue is outside warranty scope, we'll provide a quote for our Right to Repair service

• Non-transferable: This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and cannot be transferred

• Installation & maintenance: Products must be installed and maintained in line with Spark & Bell's guidance; failure to do so may void the warranty

• PAT testing: PAT testing and any required electrical certifications remain the responsibility of the purchaser or installer

• Postage costs: The customer is responsible for all postage or delivery costs associated with returning items for warranty assessment, repair, or replacement. If the item is confirmed to be covered under warranty, Spark & Bell will cover return postage within the UK.

• Statutory rights: This warranty does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law (Consumer Rights Act 2015)

This warranty covers only Spark & Bell products. It does not extend to:
• Installation costs or damage caused during installation
• Other brands' products or components (unless explicitly stated)
• Consequential damages or losses arising from product failure.

Our products are handmade in our Brighton workshop using the highest quality materials and care for our craft. We design for longevity, repairability, and beauty that lasts. This warranty is our promise that we stand behind every light we make—for life.
