Eala Ceramic Wall Sconce
Eala Ceramic Wall Sconce
We’ve teamed up with the talented local Brighton ceramicist Katie Preece to create this bespoke domed ceramic wall light with opal glass shade. Each handcrafted piece is imprinted with a bespoke pattern inspired by the Irish legend, ‘The Children of Lir’, an abstract representation of swan feathers on rippling lake waters. Each piece is hand printed directly onto the clay, and fired twice, resulting in a beautiful tactile flecked stoneware, choose from inner white or Pink glaze with a raw clay edge or a full raw version.

A little about KP Studio:
KP Studio is about finding beauty in the everyday. Since growing up in rural Hampshire, Katie felt a strong affinity with the natural world, which manifests in the earthy textures, patterns, materials and muted tones in her ceramics.
After studying printmaking there was organic progression to marry lino-cutting techniques with the tactile surface of clay. Katie’s goal is to sidestep trends and subvert mass production by embracing slow, low-waste design processes that celebrate irregularity, champion Earth and, together, form one-off homewares pieces that can be cherished for a lifetime.
Together we have worked to create two beautiful lights, inspired by Spark & Bells Irish heritage as well as Katie’s signature printmaking style.
